Fascia & soffit cleaning
Professional uPVC Fascia & Soffit Cleaning Near You
Green and grey staining washed off fascias, soffits and gutter fronts, so the whole roofline looks clean again. Serving homes and businesses across Berkshire, Hampshire and Surrey.
Why fascias and soffits go green

Fascias and soffits sit under the roof edge, out of the rain's reach, so dust and pollen settle on them and stay. Algae and lichen then take a hold, starting on the shaded side and spreading along the board.
It spreads beyond the look of it
Growth on the fascia board sits right above the gutter, so debris washes down into the gutter line and adds to blockages. Staining also creeps down the wall where water runs off, which is why the boards and the gutters are sensibly cleaned together.
Guide prices
Fascia & soffit cleaning prices
Fascia and soffit cleaning starts from £50. The exact price depends on how much board there is, how long the staining has been there, and whether we can reach it from the ground or need a ladder.
Most people book it alongside a gutter clearance, because the gutters come down anyway and one visit costs less than two. The guide prices below come from the same list we publish on our services page.
- Guide prices are for domestic properties and don't include access equipment such as a cherry picker
- Quotations are always free of charge, with no obligation
- Where the staining has been left for years, we tell you honestly what will and won't lift off

How we clean fascias and soffits
1. Look at the boards
We check the material, how long the staining has been there and how we'll reach it, then confirm the price free of charge.
2. Clear the gutters first
Where a gutter clearance is included, the gutters are cleared and the waste bagged before the boards are worked on.
3. Clean the boards
Fascias, soffits and gutter fronts are cleaned with the method suited to the material, working along the whole roofline rather than just the visible face.
4. Work down the wall
Where staining has crept onto the wall below, we clean that too where it can be done safely and without damaging the render or brick.
5. Tidy and remove waste
Debris from the gutters is bagged and taken away, not swept onto the paving or left in the garden.
6. Tell you what we saw
If a joint is coming away, a board is sagging or the sealant has failed, we tell you — even when the repair isn't ours to do.
Before and after

Staining that has been baking on the boards for several years doesn't always lift in one visit. Where we can see that, we say so before you commit rather than promising a finish we can't deliver.

What affects the price
Fascia cleaning is more predictable than roof cleaning, but your quotation still takes account of:
- Length of the roofline
- Height and how the boards are reached
- How long the staining has been there
- Whether a gutter clearance is included
- Any conservatory or extension boards
- Whether the wall below needs cleaning too
Fascia & soffit questions
How much does fascia and soffit cleaning cost?
Fascia and soffit cleaning starts from £50. The final price depends on the length of the roofline, how the boards are reached and how long the staining has been there. It is usually booked alongside a gutter clearance so you only pay for one visit.
Can you clean uPVC fascias and soffits?
Yes. uPVC is the most common material we clean. Fascias, soffits and gutter fronts are cleaned with a method suited to the material — we don't default to high-pressure washing on plastic boards.
Do you clean the soffits as well as the fascias?
Yes. The soffit underneath the fascia board is where most of the staining shows, so both are worked on together, along with the front face of the gutter.
Will the staining come off completely?
In most cases, yes. Where staining has been on the boards for several years it can leave a shadow or a mark, and we tell you honestly what will and won't lift off before you commit.
Can I receive a quotation from photographs?
Often, yes. Photos of the roof, gutters and the property help us give an accurate quote; for larger or complex jobs we may still need a site visit.
Which areas do you cover?
Relevant areas of Berkshire, Hampshire and Surrey, subject to the job and access. Send us your postcode and we will confirm.
